Will SpecGrip™ stop my glasses from sliding down?
For most people it means far less slipping and far less pushing your glasses back up, especially when you look down. It is not a guarantee that glasses never move: heavy sweat, sport and loose frame arms can still make them slide.
Which glasses does SpecGrip™ work on?
Full plastic frames (acetate or TR90) with a smooth nose-bridge area, including eyeglasses, sunglasses and reading glasses. It is not for metal or wire frames, and not for frames that already have nose-pad arms or screw-in pads.
How long does one pair last?
The typical figure is about 4–6 weeks per pair for most daily wearers, but it is not a promise. An oily nose, heavy sweat and heat wear the adhesive faster, and some people get less or more. That is why every pack has 5 pairs.
Does it work on an oily nose or in summer sweat?
Yes, the textured grip surface is made to hold on sweaty and oily skin, and that is where most people notice the difference. Very heavy sweat (gym, sport, outdoor heat) can still loosen the hold and shortens how long a pair lasts. For sport, pair it with ear grips.
How do I apply it?
Clean the frame's nose-bridge area with an alcohol wipe and let it dry. Peel a pad off the backing without touching the sticky side, press it where the frame touches your nose and hold for a few seconds. Repeat on the other side. Getting them straight can take one or two tries.
Will it leave sticky gum on my frame?
The pads are made to peel off cleanly. Sometimes a little adhesive stays on the frame; it wipes off easily with rubbing alcohol.
Will people notice the pads?
They are clear and slim, so they are discreet on most frames, but not invisible: up close you may see the edges. Over a few weeks skin oil can turn clear pads yellowish. That is your sign to swap in a fresh pair.
Will the pads change how my glasses sit?
They add a little thickness at the bridge, so your glasses may sit slightly higher. That helps if your frame feels too wide, but if your lashes already touch your lenses, check with your optician first.
My glasses still slide. Why?
If the arms are loose behind your ears, grip at the nose alone cannot hold the frame. Get the arms tightened at any optician (it is usually quick), then use SpecGrip™ for the grip at the nose.
Will it remove the marks on my nose?
No. SpecGrip™ does not treat existing marks or dark spots. It puts a soft cushion between the frame and your nose from now on, which some people find gentler on the skin.

SeaBee | United States 18 Aug 2026Works great to narrow the nosebridgeThese pads worked great to narrow the nosebridge of my glasses which was the reason I was always having to push them back up my nose. They ensured the glasses rested in a better place and stayed there as I talked and made expressions throughout the day. They also readjusted the pressure on my nosebridge up and further back, significantly decreasing my annoyance in how the glasses touched my face. I decided to keep track of how long they lasted since reviews were varied. I knew they wouldn't be permanent going in since they sent 5 pairs and they were just stick on, but I was hoping they would last a bit. This testing came during a hot and humid summer, though I spent most of it in 78° aircon. I got 59 and a half days out of my first pair. On day 42 the adhesive began breaking down and squeezing out more than just the little bit around the edge there had been previously. On day 54 one pad lifted from bottom edge, though I just smushed it down and kept wearing them. Day 60 the other pad lifted, there was much more squeeze out that morning, and by halfway through the day the nosepad starting wholely moving around. I replaced them at that point, easily cleaning off all remaining residue with rubbing alcohol. For me the cost has been worth it because I didn't much enjoy wearing this pair of glasses before the nosepads and now they are my primary pair. Picture 1: with and without the nosepads Picture 2: day 60 of nosepads, brand new nosepads **Edit: After installing my second set I managed to get in 40 days before one of the pads detached all the way. There has been quite a bit of adhesive squeeze out the second half of the wear. The weather has been alternating between record highs and rainy and humid so that may have impacted the wear.**

Abbey Vire | United States 7 Sep 2026very effective!these are great! the first pair lasted me almost 3 weeks without falling off. i have very oily skin and the second week of wear i was on vacation in florida. these things lasted through oil, excessive sweating, AND getting splashed by pool and ocean water. and honestly they could’ve stayed on longer, i just chose to remove them because my oily skin turned them a little yellow. 2-4 weeks of wear is totally possible if applied correctly! you have to clean the nose part of the glasses either with lens cleaner or an alcohol wipe or something. once it’s clean and dry apply the strip trying to avoid touching the sticky part. when i peel the paper backing off, the strip usually sticks to the tip of my finger by its edge and i apply it right away without extra handling. i also don’t know if they work on glasses that have separate nose pieces, mine are just plastic frames with flat nose area. they can be a little tricky to put on straight but it’s really not hard once you get it. they left a bit of sticky gel on one side when i removed them but it was very easy to pick off. the thickness is perfect, enough to get a good grip but not very noticeable and you don’t feel them at all. overall very happy and will be buying again.

Chloe | United Kingdom 3 Nov 2024worth getting!(short version of this review: very good product would definitely recommend, very comfortable and durable, only little con is red marks on nose) I got this product january of this year as soon as they arrived I checked them out and applied to my glasses, very easy to apply, and good adhesive. they can be slightly uncomfortable due to the difference of having them and not having them but after about a few minutes of wear they feel as though they’re not even there. Soon after these arrived and I used a pair I misplaced them within my house so for the past 10/ 10 and a half months I have had the same pair on the glasses and it’s only been the past month where they have been less sticky and moving around but after 10 months they still stuck, was still comfortable and done their job. they do tend to leave little marks on your nose after wear but that’s the only slight con I can find with this product. I managed to find where I’d misplaced them today and within a minute replaced them with a new pair. feels high quality, very durable and very effective. DEFINITELY give them a go!
